About us
A Metal Roofing Contractor That Shows Up and Does It Right
Snaplock Roofing LLC is a residential metal roofing contractor based in Knox City, Missouri. We build standing seam metal roofs and steel siding for homes and farms across northeast Missouri.
Who We Are
We're a roofing contractor that does one thing and does it well: metal roofing. We don't chase every job that comes along. We focus on standing seam metal roofs, metal over existing shingles, roof replacement, storm and wind damage repair, board and batten steel siding, and attic ventilation.
The difference between us and most roofers in this region is that we manufacture our own panels. We bring portable roll formers to your property and run every panel from raw steel coil on site. That means one continuous piece from ridge to eave, no lap seams, no shipping damage, and no waiting on a factory.

Where We Work From
Our shop
57589 Stonewall Ave
Knox City, MO 63446
From Knox City we travel roughly a 50-mile radius across northeast Missouri — Knox County, Adair County, Lewis County, Scotland County, Macon County, Marion County, Shelby County and Clark County.
How we run a job
- 1. We look at the roof. We come out, get on the roof, and tell you what we see in plain language.
- 2. We form the panels on site. The roll former comes to your property. Every panel is cut to your actual roof.
- 3. We install and clean up. We seam, fasten and trim, then leave the yard clean.
Missouri Does Not License Roofing Contractors
Missouri does not require a state license to work as a roofing contractor. There is no license number to look up and no state board to call. That's not a loophole — it's just how it works here. It also means the responsibility falls on you, the homeowner, to check out whoever you hire.
Here's what we'd tell a neighbor to check before hiring any roofer:
- ▸Ask for proof of insurance. A roofer should be able to show you a current general liability certificate before they get on your roof.
- ▸Ask for references. Talk to a couple of people they've done roofs for in the last year. Ask if the crew showed up when they said they would.
- ▸Get it in writing. A quote should say what's included — tear-off, underlayment, panels, trim, flashing, cleanup — and what isn't.
- ▸Find out who actually makes the panels. Most roofers order factory panels and wait. We form ours on site. Ask any roofer you're considering where their panels come from.
We're happy to answer any of those questions for you. Call us at (660) 341-4823 and ask.
